General Information (About Me)

I'm a Photographer here in the NW USA. I say Vancouver, Oregon because if I put Washington people think Seattle which is hours North of me. Whereas Portland, Oregon is 15 minutes South.

I started photography as a hobby in September 2007 with a Sony Cybershot in hand, a $7 hot light from Home Depot and the first model to respond off of Craigs List who was willing to model the costumes my wife has made.

When I started getting images I felt were print worthy I took them to have them printed poster size. That was when I found out that 12.1 megapixels meant squat. Three months of itty bitty print hell and I upgraded to a "real" camera. I suppose if I'd bothered to take a class on photography instead of stubbornly mashing buttons until I figured it out on my own, I'd have saved a little money. But I was having so much fun I never looked back.

All of 2008 was spent shooting portraiture with anyone that would actually show up. 2009 is the year of Ox and I plan on celebrating it by rampaging through the year shooting my own ideas.

We still shoot standard images, bridals, portraiture, fashion, sports, events, runway, galleries, clubs, you name it. But we no longer do that for free.

Now we shoot what my brain comes up with and if you're willing to work on our ideas with us we won't charge you to sit for us or for copies of the final product to use in your portfolio.

I love collaborating with other professionals, shooting 2nd camera, designing new concepts, taking road trips and shooting that which inspires as we go.

I will test any model who says "I'm up for anything!" and take new models under our wing.

We're fantastically easy to shoot with. We take good care of our models and will work with you if you:

Most (but not all) of our work in 2009 involves a theme. Some shoots will take many sessions to complete. We are reserving the more involved shoots for models that we've worked with before.

Most (but not all) of our themes and concepts show skin to varying degrees. The end result while suggesting or showing nudity is not explicit. However the model must be comfortable in her skin as nudity is happening to set up the shot even if the details don't show in the final result.

We have a modified modeling agreement we use for TF* nudes that allow the model to retain specific rights to her images. If you're interested in working with us we'll meet and you can go over it with us in person.

It should be noted that we do NOT post our best work online. Those images are only in print. We also don't post nude images online without explicit consent and request by the model.

Why? There's more than enough nudity online. It's your business if you want your image downloadable by random masses. We are more interested in the art of printed material and thus reserve our best work (nude or no) for print only.

Our goal eventually is to show our work in galleries and sell limited prints to patrons of the arts. I don't feel I'm quite there yet (in spite of feedback to the contrary). When I am, you'll hear it from me first. :)
